Our multinational client is a well-established high-quality supplier of industrial consumables across Australasia. With its local head office in Melbourne, this key senior role is responsible for the sound financial management of the Australian & New Zealand businesses.

Your current role will be hands‑on. You will take on full responsibility for all aspects of the financial and administrative functions of our client's business. Past roles have seen you successfully manage the financial function in similar sized organisations. Past exposure to international reporting practices is also important. Your attention to detail is excellent as are your communication skills. Liaison with auditors and other external parties is a regular and key part of the role.

The Role n

- Lead all financial functions, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and audits.
n
- Preparation and presentation of monthly financial statements and management reports
n




- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian legislation, tax requirements, and company policies
n
- Company secretarial duties and legal compliance
n
- Administration – Manage day-to-day administrative operations and support services.
n
- Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reconciliations
n

The Person nn
- A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting. CPA/CA qualification (or progress toward it) highly desirable
n
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a similar sized import and distribution company
n
- In depth understanding of contemporary Australian and New Zealand tax practices
n
- Strong MS Excel proficiency and advanced communication skills will be highly regarded.
n
- Proactive, hands‑on and willing to become an integral member of the local management team
n
- Analytical, goal oriented and with strong attention to detail.
n
- Proficiency with financial and accounting software (SAP experience will be well regarded)
