Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong background in manufacturing to support the design, development, maintenance, and optimisation of industrial automation systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects involving PLC, SCADA, HMI, and industrial networks while contributing to operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities n

n
- Design, develop, program, and commission automation and control systems.
n
- Modify and optimise PLC, SCADA, and HMI applications to improve plant performance.
n
- Troubleshoot and resolve automation and process control issues in a manufacturing environment.
n
- Support capital projects from concept through to commissioning and handover.
n
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to improve system reliability and uptime.
n
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, control philosophies, and functional specifications.
n
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
n
- Ensure automation systems comply with site safety and quality standards.
n





Skills & Experience nn
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar.
n
- Proven experience working within a manufacturing, food & beverage, FMCG, pharmaceutical, packaging, or industrial processing environment.
n
- Solid hands-on experience with:
n
- Rockwell / Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk)
n
- Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure, Modicon PLCs)
n
- Experience with SCADA and HMI development and support.
n
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and OPC.
n
- Experience with commissioning, fault finding, and system integration.
n
- Understanding of industrial control panels, instrumentation, drives, and field devices.
n
- Strong problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
n
