Position Details

The ideal candidate will have experience teaching a variety of levels of Humanities and Social Sciences including upper school. Awareness of teaching using ICT is a requirement.

Applicants must have a genuine love of learning and be able to demonstrate a commitment to student centred-learning, cooperative practice, pastoral care, co-curricular responsibilities, and the values of the College.

Classroom teachers will be expected to

n

- Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study
n
- Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards
n
- Teach an area of the curriculum or a general curriculum year level
n
- Monitor, evaluate and report student progress in ley learning areas
n




- Implement strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes
n
- Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress
n
- Implement effective student management consistent with the College's strategic plan
n
- Contribute to a range of co-curricular programs
n

Qualifications Criteria

n

n
- Minimum of a Diploma of Education
n
- Current registration with Teachers Registration Board Western Australia
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Willingness to obtain Accreditation for Teachers to Work in a Catholic School
n
- The ability to teach Religious Education would be advantageous but not essential
