nProvides speech therapy services to patients with speech, language or swallowing disorders.n

nEducation and Work Experience:n
n

n
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
n

n
nLicenses/Certifications:n
n

n
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
n
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
n
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
n
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required
n

nEssential Functions:n
n

- Assesses and documents speech therapy data related to patient assessments, patient care needs,



interventions and outcomes.
n
- Identifies changes and trends throughout physical and emotional parameters.
n
- Reviews treatment plans and assesses individual performances to modify, change or write current programs.
n
- Maintains documentation as required by law, establishment policy and administrative regulation.
n
- Instructs patients on ways to monitor speech and practice new skills.
n
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
