The role requires strong stakeholder engagement across Command Teams, vessel personnel, contractors and subject matter experts to ensure compliance with WHS legislation, Defence policy and Navy safety requirements.

Key responsibilities n

n
- You will lead and assure WHS compliance, undertake risk assessments and investigations, conduct audits and assurance activities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of WHS policies, procedures and management systems.
n
- You will provide practical advice on complex safety matters, monitor WHS performance and emerging risks, prepare high-quality briefs and reports, and support governance forums and safety committees.
n
- Operating independently and within multidisciplinary teams,



you will promote a positive safety culture through coaching, education, collaboration and the application of contemporary WHS best practice in a energetic maritime workplace.
n

What you need nn
- Completion of Certificate IV, Diploma or Degree in Work Health and Safety.
n
- Extensive experience in Work Health and Safety and/or Environmental Science working with various stakeholders in a maritime and or high-risk setting.
