Position Information

Wellington High School is located on Wiradjuri Country in Central Western New South Wales. Wellington High School services a rural community providing a comprehensive curriculum for Year 7 to 12 students, equipping them with the skills required to become active and successful citizens.

Wellington High School has an anticipated enrolment of 321 for 2026. The composition of the student population is culturally and linguistically diverse, with 66% identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, and 3% speaking English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D).

The school is committed to working with families and the local community to provide a holistic approach to education. - Approval to teach PD/Health/PE (PHP) and a willingness to teach Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation/Physical Activity and Sports Studies (SLR).
- Demonstrated collaborative, interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with students, staff and parents.
- Demonstrated ability to implement evidence-based teaching practices to engage and develop students with a wide range of abilities with a focus on improving students skills.
- Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and to plan and implement differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
