Senior School Teacher - Technology and Textiles

Girton Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technology & Textiles Teacher to join our Senior School community.

n

This exciting opportunity is suited to a passionate educator who can inspire students through innovative and engaging learning experiences in Technology and Textiles. The successful applicant will teach students across Years 7–12, including VCE, and contribute to a culture of academic excellence, creativity and student wellbeing.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Head of Department – Technology, the successful applicant will:

n

n
- Deliver a dynamic and engaging Technology and Textiles curriculum across the Senior School.
n
- Create learning experiences that challenge, inspire and support students to achieve their personal best.
n
- Differentiate learning to meet the diverse needs of students.
n
- Assess and monitor student progress using a range of evidence-based approaches.
n
- Foster a positive, inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
n
- Contribute to the wider life of the School through co-curricular, pastoral care and community activities.
n
- Collaborate with colleagues to continually enhance curriculum and teaching practice
n

About You

n





You will be an energetic and collaborative educator who demonstrates:

n

n
- Experience teaching Technology and/or Textiles across Years 7–12, including VCE.
n
- A commitment to evidence-informed teaching practices, including Explicit Instruction and the Science of Learning.
n
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
n
- A passion for student wellbeing and inclusive education.
n
- Excellent communication, organisational and ICT skills.
n
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
n
