Goolum Goolum Barrp-iny Wirrindity-anak Kindergarten is seeking experienced educators to join the team in 2027. The Team Leader and Teacher roles can also be combined to form a Full Time Position. The roles involve providing supportive and effective leadership, building strong relationships with children, families, community and staff, and delivering a play-based, child-centred kindergarten program that embeds Aboriginal culture, identity and connection to Country.

Key responsibilities n

Provide supportive and effective leadership to the kindergarten team

n

Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, community and staff

n

Support culturally responsive and inclusive teaching practices

n

Promote a strong sense of identity, belonging and connection to culture

n

Guide curriculum planning and reflective practice

n

Support a positive, cooperative and respectful team culture

n

Work in partnership with families, Elders and the wider Aboriginal community

n

Deliver a play-based, child-centred kindergarten program

n

Embed Aboriginal culture, identity, connection to Country and community throughout the curriculum

n

Create a welcoming, inclusive and culturally protected learning environment

About you n

Current VIT (Early Childhood) or Current Early Childhood Diploma qualifications

n





First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications

n

Child Safety Training Mandatory Reporting Certificate

GGAC is an Aboriginal Community-controlled organisation delivering Primary health, Allied Health, Home and Community Care, Youth and Community Justice, Aboriginal Family services and Early years programs. Incorporated in 1982, GGAC has continued to grow and adapt to meet the needs of the local Aboriginal community. GGAC relocated to its current location, a purpose-built health facility, in 2007. Since its inception GGAC has been funded to service Aboriginal people residing within the Grampians and Wimmera region of Victoria. GGAC is committed to implementing and surpassing the requirements of the Child Safe Standards and recognises that the whole organisation is responsible for the protection of children, cultural safety and a visible child safe culture.
