SE National is a growing, family-owned transport and logistics group operating linehaul, distribution, and warehousing services across Victoria, NSW, and Queensland.

About the Role n

We're looking for an organised, hands-on Parts Storeman to take ownership of our workshop parts room.

n

You’ll be the go-to person for parts availability, stock accuracy, and purchasing — making sure our mechanics have the right part, in the right bin, at the right time.

n

This is a newly structured role within a workshop that’s recently modernised its parts operation, including a barcoded bin location system and digital inventory management.

Key Responsibilities n

- n

Manage the day-to-day operation of the parts room, including receiving, binning, and issuing parts

n
- n

Maintain accurate stock records in our inventory management system (Gearbox)

n
- n

Raise and manage purchase orders in line with our parts ordering procedures, ensuring all orders are priced and approved

n
- n

Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain bin location accuracy

n
- n

Source and price parts from suppliers, following up on ETAs and backorders

n
- n

Receive deliveries, check against POs, and resolve discrepancies with suppliers

n
- n





Support mechanics and the Workshop Manager with parts lookups and interpretation

n
- n

Keep the parts room clean, safe, and audit-ready at all times

n

About You nn
- n

Experience in a parts storeman, parts interpreter, or warehouse/inventory role — heavy vehicle, automotive, or agricultural parts experience highly regarded

n
- n

Strong attention to detail and a genuine liking for order and accuracy

n
- n

Confident with computers — you’ll be working daily with inventory software, barcode scanning, and email

n
- n

Good communicator who can deal with suppliers, mechanics, and management

n
- n

Forklift licence desirable (or willingness to obtain)

- n

Current driver's licence

n
- n

Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable owning your area without close supervision
