What You'll Be Doing n

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit, you’ll provide safe, person-centred and evidence-informed nursing care while working closely with patients,



families and the broader healthcare team. Key responsibilities will be to:

- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care for patients with complex healthcare needs.
n
- Coordinate and prioritise clinical care across a busy service while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
n
- Communicate effectively with patients, carers and multidisciplinary team members to support positive health outcomes.
n
- Document assessments, care plans, progress and referrals accurately using relevant clinical information systems.
n
- Contribute to evidence-based practice, quality improvement, education and a supportive learning environment.

What You'll Bring n

We’re looking for Registered Nurses who are ready to step into a challenging and rewarding critical-care environment and make a genuine contribution to patient care.

- Current authority to practise as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
n
- Recent Intensive Care experience, or relevant acute/critical-care experience considered appropriate by WSLHD.
n
- The ability to work a rotating 7-day roster within a busy Intensive Care Service.
n
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills, with excellent attention to detail.
n
- Computer literacy and confidence using relevant health information systems.
n

Essential Requirements nn
- Registration:



Currently authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
n

Selection Criteria nn
- Recent experience in Intensive Care environment or relevant experiences in an acute/ COU inpatient area as deemed appropriate by WSLHD
n
- Ability to work a rotating 7 day roster to meet clinical demands of busy quaternary Intensive Care Service
n
- Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
n
- Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail
n
- Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems
