Are you a motivated and relationship-driven insurance professional looking to take the next step in your Underwriting Career? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Underwriter to join our Brisbane Financial Lines team and support our growing Financial Lines portfolio.

About the role: n

You will play a key role in managing and growing a Financial Lines portfolio by handling renewals, assessing and converting new business opportunities, and delivering responsive, high-quality service to brokers. You'll monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with underwriting and legislative requirements, stay across industry developments, and actively participate in market engagement and networking activities.

Responsibilities Include: n

n
- Manage and service an existing Financial Lines portfolio, including renewals and mid-term adjustments
n
- Assess and underwrite new business opportunities in line with authority and guidelines
n
- Strengthen and maintain strong broker relationships through responsive and qualified service
n
- Conduct portfolio reviews to monitor performance, profitability, and trends
n
- Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, legislative requirements, and internal policies
n
- Attend networking events, broker meetings, and industry functions as required
n

About You: nn
- 2+ years’ experience as a Financial Lines underwriter
n
- Strong understanding of the Australian insurance market.
n
- A commitment to following, applying,



and interpreting underwriting guidelines.
n
- Strong commercial acumen and a determination to maintain a profitable portfolio.
n
- Positive, professional, and proactive attitude.
n
- Strong sales orientation, with confidence in pursuing and closing new business.
