About the role n

As the Payroll Team Lead, you'll own end-to-end payroll for the business across weekly and fortnightly pay cycles. You'll report to the National Payroll Lead and work within a team-oriented team of five. You'll be a go-to person for employees and managers across the business, and a driver of compliance, accuracy and timeliness.

What you'll be doing n

- Overseeing daily payroll processing, including reviewing payroll data for accuracy
n
- Managing timesheets, salary and wage payments, EOM reconciliations and payments, and the distribution of payroll deductions
n
- Maintaining employee records
n
- Making sure all legislated requirements are met and reporting obligations are handled correctly
n
- Interpreting Awards and applying them confidently
n
- Identifying and correcting potential payroll issues before they become problems
n
- Supporting payroll system enhancements and improving processes and efficiencies
n
- Mentoring, developing and training team members
n

- Proven experience managing end-to-end, multi-frequency payroll cycles
n
- Strong Award interpretation skills
n
- A solid understanding of regulatory compliance and reporting
n
- Working knowledge of payroll systems and processes
n
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot and fix issues early
n
- Strong organisational, time management and communication skills
n
- A self-motivated, goal-driven approach, with a track record of working well in a team
n
- The integrity and professionalism to set the standard for others, and a genuine commitment to great customer service
