We are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of our retail store. This is a hands-on management position suited to someone who has strong retail experience, enjoys leading a team and can effectively manage sales, stock, customer service and overall store performance.
Key responsibilities n
Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
n
Determining appropriate product ranges, stock levels and customer service standards.
n
Monitoring stock movement and maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand.
n
Coordinating purchasing and ordering of stock and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers.
n
Reviewing product pricing, margins and sales performance and assisting with pricing decisions.
n
Planning and implementing store promotions and local marketing activities to increase sales and customer engagement.
n
Monitoring daily, weekly and monthly sales performance and identifying opportunities to improve store results.
n
Recruiting, training, rostering,
supervising and supporting retail staff.
n
Establishing and maintaining high standards of customer service.
n
Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and other applicable store procedures.
About you n
At least 1 year of relevant experience in retail management or a similar supervisory/management position.
n
Demonstrated experience supervising and supporting retail staff.
n
Good understanding of retail operations, stock control and inventory management.
n
Experience with ordering, merchandising and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
n
Robust customer service and complaint-resolution skills.
n
Ability to monitor sales performance and work towards store targets.
n
Good organisational and time-management skills.
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
Ability to lead, motivate and develop a retail team.
n
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the overall operation of the store.
