We’re looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant with at least 3 years’ Australian public practice experience to join our growing Wollongong team.

n

You’ll work with a diverse portfolio of SME, family business and individual clients across accounting, taxation, compliance and advisory work.

n

You may be an Intermediate Accountant ready to step up, or already working at Senior Accountant level and looking for a role with more variety, autonomy and opportunity.

What you’ll be doing n

Your role will include:

n

n
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns
n
- Working with companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
n
- Preparing and reviewing BAS
n
- Managing taxation and compliance requirements
n
- Working directly with business owners and clients
n
- Assisting with tax planning and year-end strategies
n
- Supporting clients with CGT, Division 7A and structuring matters
n
- Liaising with the ATO and other professional advisers
n
- Using Xero and Xero Practice Manager
n
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
n
- Reviewing junior work as your experience develops
n
- Supporting less experienced team members where appropriate
n

As your experience grows, so will your level of client ownership and responsibility.

What we’re looking for n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- 3+ years’ Australian public practice experience
n
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns
n




- Good knowledge of Australian taxation
n
- Experience with companies, trusts and partnerships
n
- Experience working with SME clients
n
- Confidence communicating directly with clients
n
- Xero experience
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- Good organisational skills
n
- A proactive and reliable approach to your work
n

n

CPA or CA qualification is highly regarded, whether completed or currently underway.

n

You don’t need to know everything.

n
