About the role n
Lead the financial accounting and shared services function for one of Australia's most recognised sporting organisations. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity to drive financial excellence, governance and continuous improvement across Tennis Australia and its national network, while leading a high-performing team and influencing strategic business outcomes.

- Ensure accurate, timely and compliant month‑end, year‑end and statutory reporting outcomes
n
- Drive a robust financial control and governance framework across Tennis Australia and its Member Associations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements
n
- Oversee external audits, treasury operations, taxation obligations and sustainability reporting, providing trusted technical accounting leadership across the organisation
n
- Lead and optimise finance shared services,
including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, while improving efficiency, automation and service delivery
n
- Develop and inspire a high-performing finance team, fostering collaboration, capability growth and a culture of continuous improvement
n
About you n
To be successful in this role you will:
n
n
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, with responsibility for complex accounting and reporting functions
n
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including areas such as group consolidations, investments, lease accounting, provisions and financial compliance
n
- Demonstrated success leading external audits, statutory reporting processes and maintaining effective financial control environments
n
- Experience leading and developing sizeable finance teams, creating accountability, engagement and high performance
n
- CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting or a related discipline, combined with strong stakeholder management and business partnering capability
n
- Hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
n
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
