Omni Recruit is seeking an experienced High Reach & Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our client's warehouse team in South Windsor .

n

This is a great opportunity for an operator who enjoys a hands‑on, varied warehouse role and is confident jumping between forklift operations, loading and unloading, picking and stock control.

n

The initial assignment runs from 21 September to 13 November , with the potential for ongoing work for the right person.

Opportunity for ongoing employment based on performance and business requirements

The first two weeks will focus heavily on forklift operations and warehouse support. If you perform well, the role can continue on a regular basis with a greater focus on stocktake preparation and inventory activities .

THE ROLE n

You'll be working across a range of warehouse duties, including:

n

Operating High Reach and Counterbalance forklifts

n
- n

Loading and unloading trucks and containers

n
- n

Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse

n
- n

Assisting with picking and packing customer orders

n
- n

Put-away of stock

n
- n

Stocktake preparation and inventory checks

n




- n

Counting and checking stock

n
- n

Bagging and consolidating stock

n
- n

Reading warehouse paperwork and location information

n
- n

General warehouse housekeeping and maintaining a safe, organised work area

n

n

This is not just a forklift driving role — we’re looking for someone who is happy to get involved across the warehouse and assist wherever needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR n

To be successful, you’ll have:

n

n
- n

Current and valid Forklift Licence

n
- n

Proven experience operating High Reach AND Counterbalance forklifts

n
- n

Previous warehouse experience

n
- n

Experience loading and unloading trucks and/or containers

n
- n

Positive understanding of warehouse processes

n
- n

Confidence reading paperwork, stock information and warehouse locations

n
- n

Strong attention to detail, particularly with counting and inventory

n
- n

Good communication skills

n
- n

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

n
- n

A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

n
- n

Reliable transport and a reliable attendance record

n

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE n

We’re looking for an experienced operator who is confident on both types of forklifts, physically hands‑on, reliable and switched on with stock control .
