The Role

Reporting directly to the Store Manager and Bakery Supervisor, this successful applicant will be responsible for managing the department as if it were their own store.

Some of the key tasks include ensuring accurate stock management and compliance, monitoring and achieving sales, and gross profit targets, train, coach and developing your team, all while ensuring the department consistently meets food health and safety requirements.

This is a permanent part-time position starting at 25 hours per week.

Availability Requirements

- Monday-Friday between 7am-6pm
- Fortnightly rotation of a Saturday or Sunday shift




- Ability to be flexible during periods of team leave.
- A willingness to support nearby stores if required.

About You

To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with proven experience in a similar role. You’ll have:

- Knowledge of fresh food department operations
- Experience training, coaching, and managing a team.
- Experienced with achieving department/store KPI’s and targets.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with stock management and merchandising
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of retail operations
- The ability to build rapport and maintain a positive team culture.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
