Sovereign Hill Museums Association is home to Sovereign Hill Outdoor Museum, AURA, Sovereign Hill Hotel, Narmbool, the Australian Centre for Rare Trades and Arts, and the Australian Centre for Gold Rush Collections.

Welcoming more than 500,000 visitors each year, we are a major tourism destination, cultural institution, education provider, hospitality operator and community organisation. Our 350 employees and 250 volunteers bring Australia's gold rush story to life every day.

Why This Opportunity?

This chance has recently returned to market as we continue our search for the right leader to join our organisation.

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable partnering with the Board and Executive, coaching leaders through complex people matters, delivering strategic workforce initiatives and remaining connected to employees and volunteers on the ground.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief People & Safety Officer, you will lead the People & Culture function and play a pivotal role in delivering a modern, high-performing people strategy.

You will lead a broad portfolio spanning:

• Employee relations and workplace investigations

• Workforce planning and reporting

• Remuneration and workforce analytics

• Governance, compliance and risk

• Recruitment and onboarding

• Organisational culture, engagement and capability initiatives

• Leadership support and business partnering

About You

You are an experienced People & Culture leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.

You'll bring:





• Significant senior HR or People & Culture experience

• Strong employee relations and case management expertise

• Experience partnering with executives, boards and senior leaders

• A contemporary and forward-thinking approach to people and culture

• Strong commercial, analytical and stakeholder management skills

• The ability to influence, build trust and deliver outcomes
