Australia’s burgeoning data centre market is set to nearly double to $40 billion over the next four years as companies invest big in AI platforms. In NSW alone more and more businesses are taking on large scale data centre projects and are keen to get people with data centre experience onto their teams.

Our client is a busy Tier 2 Builder who have proven experience in delivering high quality data centre and commercial projects across Sydney. They are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to facilitate the successful completion of construction projects on time and within budget to a high level of detail.

The Job

- Lead the delivery of project activities including utility interfacing, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies and ECI interface.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate robust relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Scope & Schedule Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive project scope document (PSD) and a detailed project schedule, proactively identifying and mitigating risks that could impact timelines.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):



Implement a robust QA/QC program to guarantee the project meets all data center industry standards and best practices.
- Communication & Reporting: Maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular progress reports and updates.

Requirements

- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of experience in Services Engineer or Manage role
- Experience in Construction and/or mechanical/ electrical/ construction services management is a requirement.
- Proactive, collaborative and team attitude and approach to work
- You will have worked for a main Builder or Services Contractor on projects over $50 mil
- You will have proven experience in delivering highly technical projects including data centres, health or complex commercial projects.
