Role Details

The Film Preservation Officer plays a critical role in preserving and providing access to South Australia's published and archival film and video collections. Working within the State Library's Collection Storage & Care team, the position uses specialised film and video digitisation systems, legacy playback equipment and preservation expertise to safeguard culturally significant moving image collections for future generations. The role also provides specialist advice, supports digitisation projects, maintains technical equipment and contributes to cutting-edge preservation and access solutions for audiovisual heritage.





Special Conditions

- The Incumbent will be required to participate in the department's Performance Management Program.
- The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent.
- Some work outside of normal hours may be required.
- This role requires a National Criminal History check.
- Accurate colour vision is a requirement to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
- Driving may form part of this role and engagement may be subject to completion of an Annual Drivers License Checklist, attaching a copy of a current drivers license.
- The incumbent will be required to maintain a safe working environment by adopting appropriate hazard management practices consistent with the role.

$82,212 - $86,180 p.a. (pro rata for part-time 0.6 FTE)
