About the Role:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for a range of accounting functions including monthly management accounting, meeting month-end and reporting deadlines, completing the financial reporting process (including statutory account preparation and review), and ad hoc projects as necessary. This role suits someone ready to take a step into people leadership, playing a key role in helping to lead and develop junior team members.

This role will make a key contribution in the future development of the Group’s financial processes following a group restructure, working on both incremental process change which lead to workflow efficiencies and supporting larger system development projects. This role offers great exposure to different areas of the Group Finance function in a fast-moving commercial environment.

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified chartered accountant with commercial experience in a large corporate or professional firm. You will have the natural ability to apply technical accounting skills in a practical manner along with a solutions-focused mindset and an eye for process improvement.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

- Leading the completion of month end process ensuring that financial information is prepared accurately and on time as a team.
- Finalising financial results, completing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and providing monthly management account information.
- Completing a number of complex financial consolidations to facilitate multi-level reporting across the group structure.
- Supporting the process of completing half-year and year-end Group financial statements and assisting with audits.




- Involvement in various end to end business improvement projects to both improve financial control and process, and to reduce risk across the group.
- Providing day-to-day guidance, coaching and technical support to Financial Accountants and Graduates, reviewing work and assisting with professional development.

About You:

- CA qualified with experience working within a large commercial environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS accounting standards and financial statement disclosures, demonstrated either in a commercial environment or in a professional firm.
- Highly proficient in Excel, including ability to analyse and consolidate different data sets and automate processes.
- Able to adapt to new systems quickly; exposure to Technology One software (Ci Anywhere), and Sitelink (Storage specific software) advantageous.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Process oriented mindset with the ability to follow structured procedure and identify improvements.
- Strong and professional written and verbal communication skills, to engage with both customer facing staff and leadership.
- Problem solving ability, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
