About the Role
n We are seeking a motivated Pre-Construction Cadet Estimator to join a growing construction business specialising in insulation, sheetmetal and passive fire services across Sydney.
n This is an entry-level opportunity for someone genuinely interested in building a career in construction. Working alongside experienced Estimators and Project Managers, you'll develop practical skills across estimating, pre-construction and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist with pre-construction activities and project coordination.
n
- Review plans and project requirements and assist with preparing quotations.
n
- Assist with material take-offs, quantities, labour costs and pricing.
n
- Research and source material pricing.
n
- Prepare scopes of work and cost breakdowns for client quotations.
n
- Coordinate project documentation, including SWMS, registers and inductions.
n
- Maintain accurate project and client records.
n
- Assist with quality-control and site documentation.
n
- Ensure work complies with Australian Standards, NCC requirements and manufacturer specifications.
n

Key Skills & Experience

n

n
- Genuine interest in the construction industry, particularly insulation, sheetmetal or passive fire.
n
- Previous construction, estimating, administration or project coordination experience is advantageous.
n
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other computer programs.
n




- Positive mathematical and analytical skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
n
- Clear written and verbal communication.
n
- Willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge.
n
- Strong understanding of safety and compliance.
n
- Reliable, professional and hardworking.
n
- A relevant Construction Management or Quantity Surveying qualification is desirable but not essential.
n
- Full-time, ongoing position.
n
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm.
n
- Kirrawee location with off-street parking.
