About the Role

n

We are looking for a hands-on Casual Chef/Cook to assist with the preparation and production of fresh, high-quality food.

n

This is a daytime-focused role within a friendly and professional kitchen environment, with shifts available across weekdays and weekends.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

- Prepare and produce fresh food to a consistently high standard.
n
- Follow recipes, portioning requirements and presentation standards.
n
- Assist with daily food preparation and kitchen service.
n
- Ensure all food is prepared, stored and labelled correctly.
n
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen workspace.
n
- Uphold all food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
n
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock rotation to minimise waste.
n




- Work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure smooth daily operations.
n

About You

n

You're a reliable and enthusiastic Chef or experienced Cook who enjoys working with quality ingredients and takes pride in producing fresh, consistently presented food.

n

To be successful, you'll have:

n

- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a café, deli, restaurant, retail food or similar kitchen environment.
n
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills.
n
- A sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and safe food-handling requirements.
n
- The ability to work efficiently and remain organised in a fast-paced environment.
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
n
- A positive attitude and a genuine willingness to work as part of a team.
n
- Reliability and flexibility to work across a casual roster, including weekdays and weekends.
n
- A relevant cookery qualification is preferred but not essential for candidates with suitable experience.
