DECYP school social workers provide critical evidence-based services to our students, teachers, and families to optimise wellbeing, engagement, and academic success.

The Team

n

You will be welcomed into a highly supportive, team-based environment.

As a member of your schools' multidisciplinary Student Wellbeing and Support Team you will work with school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, school health nurses and teaching staff.

n

Your regional and statewide school social work teams stay connected via regular online and face to face meetings.

n

About The Role

- provide a range of services including personal safety and wellbeing, mental health, relationships, conflict resolution and restorative justice.

- contribute to building the capacity of school communities to improve students' access, participation, and achievement.

We are looking for

Essential

n

n
- Tertiary qualification/program of study accredited by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
n
- Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment
n

n

Desirable

n

n
- A current driver's licence.
n
- A full member of AASW or is eligible for membership with the AASW.
n

n
