Job Description

We are seeking a Warehouse Inventory Team Leader to join Eureka Furniture at our Acacia Ridge distribution centre. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our warehousing operations. As Team Leader, you will oversee inventory management, lead a team of warehouse operatives, and monitor all stock movements withing the main warehouse including inbound and outbound and report back to the operational and site managers. This role is essential to supporting our logistics operations and delivering excellent service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

n

Coordinate and conduct regular physical stocktakes and cycle counts to verify that systems records match physical inventory via cycle counts on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule

n

Investigate and perform root cause analysis for variances in stock levels identifying issues such as process, staffing training needs, theft, damage, or admin

n

Reporting of results must always be available and submitted weekly. This will include, cycle counting tracking, lost, and adjustments

n

Having an adequate team to run the department which includes training and developing team and staff, and cross training staff from other departments

n

Build and maintain reports to aid KPI's for tracking inventory movements

n

Monitor operational performance inline of inventory to develop and implement inventory control procedures contributing to efficiencies

n

Identify contributing factors to stock integrity variances and work with departments to reduce and or correct broken process

n

Identify supplier factors which may result in integrity issues, this should also include Inspect incoming shipments for damage or quality issues and ensure

n

proper storage according to company and safety standards

n





Reporting of stock storage concerns which may result in damage or injury

n

Oversee the stock adjustments as to set approval limits

n

Ensure upkeep of stock variances reported are actioned within 24hrs with clear communication and correct checks in place

n

Upkeep of reporting for warehouse KPI's such as productivity and variances

n

What we're looking for

n

Proven experience in a warehouse or distribution setting, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or team leader role

n

Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management software (WMS experience desirable)

n

Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

n

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage a team effectively, with strong communication and interpersonal skills

n

Sound understanding of health, safety and security procedures, including relevant workplace legislation

n

Proficiency with computer systems and data entry, including spreadsheet applications and inventory tracking software

n

Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and stock management

n

Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently under pressure

n

Physical capability to perform warehouse duties, including standing for extended periods and occasional lifting

n

A proactive, customer-focused approach to work with a commitment to continuous improvement

n

About the Role

n

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys physical work and being part of a busy warehouse team. A current Forklift Licence is highly regarded but not essential.

Availability Requirements

n

Applicants must be available to work full-time, Monday to Friday, between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.
