The Opportunity

As a Dental Assistant, you will play an integral role in supporting our clinicians, ensuring the smooth delivery of dental treatment and creating a welcoming, comfortable environment for every patient.

This role is ideal for someone who is clinically capable, organised, proactive and passionate about working collaboratively in a busy dental practice.

Key Responsibilities

n

Clinical Support & Treatment

n

n
- Efficiently assist dentists with a wide range of clinical procedures.
n
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of dental instruments, materials and clinical techniques.
n
- Confidently manage suction, instrument transfer, material preparation and mixing techniques.
n
- Anticipate the dentist's and patient's needs throughout treatment.
n




- Prepare and deliver materials as directed by the treating clinician.
n
- Maintain a thorough understanding of materials required for various procedures.
n

n

Treatment Room Preparation & Infection Control

n

n
- Prepare and reset treatment rooms efficiently between patients.
n
- Maintain exceptional cleanliness and organisation in accordance with infection control protocols.
n
- Correctly process contaminated instruments and equipment.
n
- Ensure equipment is appropriately operated, cleaned and maintained.
n
- Monitor treatment room supplies and maintain adequate stock levels.
n

Patient Care & Experience

n

n
- Welcome patients warmly and professionally, addressing them by name.
n
- Create a relaxed and positive patient experience.
n
- Escort patients to treatment rooms and provide appropriate pre- and post-treatment support.
n
- Accurately complete patient charts and clinical documentation.
n
- Demonstrate empathy, active listening and genuine interest in patient wellbeing.
n
- Support patient education and dental health goals.
n
- Complete follow-up and aftercare calls when required.
n

Clinical Administration & Support

n

n
- Develop, label, mount and file dental radiographs accurately, where applicable.
n
- Review patient records and appointment details to anticipate treatment requirements.
n
- Assist the front office team when needed.
n




- Maintain awareness of and comply with practice policies and procedures.
n
- Participate in team meetings, daily huddles and practice initiatives.
n
