What you'll be doing
n
Rostering & Workforce Coordination
n
n
- Coordinate and maintain rosters for our nursing staff across a 24/7 operation.
n
- Manage shift vacancies and arrange cover for unexpected absences, including sick leave and other last-minute changes.
n
- Communicate with employees regarding their shifts, availability and roster changes.
n
- Respond to day-to-day rostering queries and resolve workforce-related issues.
n
- Work closely with management to ensure appropriate staffing coverage and minimise disruptions to operations.
n
n
Employee Relations & HR Support
n
n
- Assist with the day-to-day management of employee grievances and workplace concerns.
n
- Support performance management processes when issues arise.
n
- Occasionally participate in recruitment and interviews for new nursing staff alongside management.
n
- Work alongside our HR Advisor to support HR processes and employee management.
n
n
What we're looking for
n
Ideally, you'll have:
n
n
- Previous experience in healthcare rostering or workforce coordination.
n
- Experience working with nurses or other healthcare professionals.
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
n
- The ability to remain calm, practical and solutions-focused when dealing with last-minute staffing changes.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Confidence dealing with employees and managing day-to-day workplace issues.
n
- An interest in developing your skills and experience in HR and employee relations.
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
- Experience working with the Nurses Award or Health Professionals and Support Services Award.
n
- A Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business or a related qualification.
n
n
We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have a background in healthcare rostering and are looking to broaden their experience into HR.
n

Employment details

- Employment type: Part-time, 1-year contract.

- Working days: Monday to Friday.

- Hours: 5–6 hours per day.

- Working window: Between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

- Flexibility: We're happy to discuss your preferred daily hours and work together to find an arrangement that suits both you and the business.
