Pharmacy Assistant – Full-Time, Part-Time or Casual

Eisner's Pharmacy is looking for a friendly, customer-focused and efficient Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Mansfield.

n

The position is flexible and may be offered aspermanent full-time, permanent part-time or casual, depending on the right candidate.

n

Experience and hours can be flexible. What is most important to us is finding someone with the right approach: someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers, works efficiently and professionally, is willing to learn, and contributes to a supportive and positive working environment with their coworkers.

We welcome experienced pharmacy assistants, applicants with retail or customer-service experience, as well as people who are new to pharmacy and keen to learn.

About the role

n

Responsibilities may include:

n

n
- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive and professional service
n
- Building rapport with regular customers and getting to know members of the local community
n
- Assisting customers with pharmacy, health, beauty and general retail products
n
- Answering telephone calls professionally and assisting with enquiries
n




- Operating the point-of-sale system and processing transactions accurately
n
- Receiving, unpacking and putting away stock
n
- Maintaining displays and keeping the pharmacy clean, organised and well presented
n
- Completing tasks accurately and efficiently and helping the pharmacy run smoothly
n
- Assisting with stock control, pricing and general pharmacy duties
n
- Supporting pharmacists and other team members when required
n
- Learning new skills and taking on additional responsibilities as your experience develops
n

Training and support will be provided, and the responsibilities of the position can be adapted according to the successful applicant's experience, strengths and interests.

Training and development

n

Further formal training iscompletely optional and is not a requirement of the position.

n

For team members who would like to develop their skills further, there is the option for Eisner's Pharmacy tofully fund a Certificate III in Community Pharmacy.

n

The qualification can also include adispensary streamfor those interested in developing the additional skills required to work as a Dispensary Technician.

n

This provides an opportunity for someone who is interested to develop a longer‐term career in community pharmacy, while applicants who simply want to work as a Pharmacy Assistant are equally welcome.

While previous experience is valuable,the qualities you bring to the team are more important to us than a particular level of pharmacy experience.

Previous pharmacy or retail experience would be helpful but isnot essential. Applicants from other customer-service backgrounds who demonstrate the qualities above are strongly encouraged to apply.
