Senior Host – Arris Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy

Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy is coming to Australia for the first time – and we're building the team that will bring it to life.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the opening team of the first Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy property in Australia, located in Richmond, Melbourne.

As one of our foundation team members, you'll have the opportunity to help establish the guest experience, culture and service standards of a Marriott accommodation concept entering the Australian market for the first time.

Two positions are available: a full-time live-in onsite position for an experienced and responsible hospitality professional who will reside onsite at the property while forming part of the full-time Host team, and a part-time position supporting the operation across a rotating roster. The full-time live-in role combines regular rostered Host duties with the benefit and responsibility of being based onsite. Living onsite does not mean being continuously on duty; rostered working hours, after-hours responsibilities and escalation arrangements will be clearly defined. The part-time role would suit someone with a genuine passion for hospitality who enjoys creating memorable guest experiences and is comfortable working independently, with a combination of weekday, evening, weekend and public holiday shifts according to operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

- Welcoming guests and creating a warm, professional and personalised arrival experience




- Managing guest check-ins and check-outs
- Reviewing upcoming arrivals and special requests
- Assisting with pre-arrival communication and registration
- Responding to guest enquiries by telephone, email, messaging platforms and in person
- Assisting with reservation enquiries, amendments and general guest requests
- Providing local recommendations for dining, transport and experiences
- Taking ownership of guest concerns and coordinating effective service recovery
- Liaising with housekeeping to ensure apartments are ready for arriving guests
- Coordinating maintenance and operational requests

About you

- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- A warm, polished and professional manner
- The confidence to work independently and take ownership of guest matters
- Solid attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise competing operational requirements
- Confidence using computers and cloud-based systems
- Flexibility to work across a rotating hospitality roster
- Previous experience in hotels, serviced apartments, Front Office, Guest Services, Reception or Reservations highly regarded
