Nursery / Volunteer Coordinator (Job Share)

The Community Setting Network (CEN) is seeking a job share Nursery / Volunteer Coordinator for its Wildplant Community Nursery located in Ourimbah, Central Coast NSW. This initial 6-month casual position (10 hours/week) may be extended and is under the direction of the CEO.

CEN is an alliance of individuals and organisations dedicated to ecologically sustainable development. Activities include advocacy, education, community engagement, supporting member organisations, and environmental monitoring.

- Oversee daily nursery operations, plant propagation, biosecurity, hygiene, and quality control
n
- Advise visitors about native plants and sustainable gardening
n
- Operate and maintain nursery equipment and irrigation systems
n
- Maintain nursery records and report maintenance requirements
n
- Support plant production for landscaping and revegetation projects
n
- Build positive relationships with customers, volunteers and community groups
n




- Support community engagement, education, and environmental awareness initiatives
n
- Work safely and contribute to a positive team culture
n

Selection Criteria:

n

n
- Commitment to CEN's aims and objectives
n
- Proven experience in production nursery management and propagating Australian native plants
n
- Experience with irrigation systems and nursery equipment
n
- Strong communication, customer service and digital skills
n
- Ability to supervise, train, and support a diverse volunteer team
n
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety, including current First Aid Certificate
n
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) in NSW
n
- Current driver's licence and own car with comprehensive insurance
n
