Role Description

The Estimator is a full time, on-site role based in Brisbane, QLD, responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for remedial and waterproofing projects across a range of building and infrastructure assets. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing drawings, specifications, and site information; conducting quantity take-offs; and developing detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractors. The role involves sourcing and evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations, assessing project risks and contingencies, and collaborating with project managers, engineers, and site teams to refine scope and methodology. The Estimator will assist in preparing tender submissions and commercial proposals, maintain and update estimating databases and rate libraries,



and support budget tracking throughout project delivery. Regular communication with internal stakeholders and clients will be required to clarify technical information, timelines, and cost assumptions.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in construction estimating, quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and budget preparation for remedial or civil/building projects.
- Proficiency with estimating and project tools (e.g., Excel, estimating software, project management platforms) and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of building construction methods, remedial works, waterproofing systems, and concrete durability or structural remediation principles.
- Effective analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare concise proposals, scopes, and tender documents, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and work safely and responsibly on active construction and remediation sites.
- Relevant qualification in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in remedial construction, infrastructure, or building maintenance projects in Australia, including familiarity with local codes and standards, is highly regarded.
