Helping Deliver Meals That Matter

The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to support food services at the Eastern Goldfields Community Centre (EGCC). This role plays an important part in delivering meals, supporting community programs and maintaining a clean, safe and effective kitchen environment.

n

As part of the City's food services workforce, you also have opportunities to work across a range of City-operated facilities and contribute to meal services, functions, events and community programs.

n

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Chef or delegated supervisor,



you will assist with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen through:

n

n
- Food preparation, portioning and plating
n
- Assisting with meal service activities
n
- Preparing ingredients, salads, desserts and other meal components
n
- Operating and cleaning commercial dishwashing equipment
n
- Maintaining kitchen, storage and service areas to a high standard
n
- Assisting with stock deliveries, storage and stock rotation
n
- Supporting food safety, hygiene and temperature recording requirements
n
- Working collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure reliable meal delivery
n
- Supporting community events and functions as required.
n

This position may also work across other City operated facilities, including the Kalgoorlie Golf Course, as operational requirements arise.

- Basic food preparation skills

- Experience using commercial kitchen equipment

- Good organisational and time management skills
