We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Safety/First Aid Supervisor to join our team at our Tongala processing facility on the Afternoon Shift.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive safety professional with strong first aid capabilities, a commitment to injury prevention, and a passion for building a positive safety culture within a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Monitor workplace safety performance and assist in maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company standards.
n
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety observations.
n
- Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, identifying corrective actions and preventative measures.
n
- Promote and drive a positive safety culture across the site.
n
- Liaise with supervisors, managers and employees to ensure safe work practices are maintained throughout operations.
n
- Deliver toolbox talks and employee training programs.
n
- Coordinate and manage workplace injury and incident reporting processes.
n
- Maintain first aid records, safety documentation and compliance registers.
n
- Provide immediate first aid treatment and support to employees as required.
n




- Support injured employees through the return-to-work process in collaboration with management and medical providers.
n

About You

n

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

n

n
- Work Health and Safety qualifications or equivalent experience.
n
- Drug and Alcohol Screening certification (desirable, but not essential, training will be provided).
n
- Return to Work Coordinator certification (desirable, but not essential, training will be provided)
n
- First Aid Certificate (desirable, but not essential, training will be provided).
n
- Previous experience in a safety, health and wellbeing, and a first aid injury management role.
n
- Well-developed knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
n
- Strong incident investigation, risk assessment and hazard management skills.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
n
- Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
n
- High attention to detail with strong administrative, record-keeping and documentation skills.
n
- Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
n
- Experience within manufacturing, food processing, warehousing or industrial environments (highly regarded).
n
