HD Plant Mechanic | RTIO – Mesa J | 2:1 Roster | 10.5-Hour Days | Ongoing Opportunities

Engineering Trades Australia are currently seeking 1–2 experienced HD Plant Mechanics with a strong civil background to join an RTIO project at Mesa J.

n

This is a great opportunity for experienced Heavy Duty Plant Mechanics looking for ongoing FIFO work, with approximately 3 swings to start and the potential for further work.

n

IMPORTANT

n

We are specifically looking for HD Plant Mechanics with civil/heavy mobile plant experience.

n

This role is NOT suitable for:

n

n
- Road Transport Trade Upgrades
n
- Shutdown Fitters
n
- Candidates without relevant civil/heavy mobile plant experience
n

n

THE ROLE

n

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile plant and equipment across the Mesa J project, ensuring machinery remains safe, reliable and operational.

n

The initial requirement is expected to be approximately 3 swings, with the potential for longer-term work. Once the initial project is complete, there may be opportunities to move onto other projects.

n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

n
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy mobile plant
n
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults
n
- Carry out inspections,



servicing and component change-outs
n
- Maintain civil and earthmoving equipment
n
- Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
n
- Conduct daily pre-starts and identify maintenance requirements
n
- Maintain accurate maintenance records
n
- Work safely and in accordance with RTIO and site requirements
n
- Work collaboratively with operators, supervisors and other maintenance personnel
n

ABOUT YOU

n

To be successful, you will have:

n

n
- Australian-recognised Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic trade qualification
n
- Strong civil/heavy mobile plant experience
n
- Proven experience maintaining and repairing civil or earthmoving equipment
n
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
n
- Strong commitment to safety
n
- Your own tools
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Relevant mining/site tickets and experience highly regarded
n
- Ability to pass relevant medical and drug & alcohol screening
n
