Greenslopes Family Practice – Greenslopes QLD

Doctor owned General Practice clinic Greenslopes is seeking an experienced, friendly, empathetic medical receptionist who thrives in a quick-paced environment to join our team. This is a part-time position working a 5 day fortnight (full days) with a set roster. The days you will need to be available are Mon/Tues and every second Wednesday.

Key responsibilities

Patient care including welcoming to the clinic, booking appointments & processing billing

Supporting our clinical team with ability to manage the different requirements of individual doctors as well as coordination with the nursing team

Administration duties such as payments, Medicare/DVA processing, scanning and supplies ordering

Assisting the Practice Manager, within scope of role with accreditation preparation requirements and quality improvement activities

About you

A minimum of 2 years working in general practice as a receptionist





Genuine interest in working in the general practice environment as part of a close-knit team

Good knowledge of Medicare and DVA billings

Ability to multitask and prioritise workflow

Understand the importance of maintaining privacy in a health setting to meet privacy obligations

Friendly demeanor with a positive attitude who enjoys working as part of a team

Ability to have some flexibility as we are a smaller team and at times may require sick or holiday cover

Willing to step outside of your comfort zone to grow within the role

Previous experience with accreditation procedures/requirements (reception level)

CPR certificate

Best Practice software experience

Rate of pay will be determined by experience and between $34-$36 per hour plus entitlements and superannuation. Full induction and training will be provided.
