Golden Apple Super Store - IGA Leeton, are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Payroll Officer to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role covering day-to-day accounts payable, weekly payroll, reconciliations, financial reporting & compliance. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our financial records are accurate and our compliance obligations are met.

Key Responsibilities

n

Accounting & Finance

n

Manage accounts payable, including invoice processing and payments

n

Complete regular bank & internal account reconciliations

n

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records

n

Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports

n

Coordinate insurance matters, including obtaining quotes and finalising policies

n

Payroll

n

Process weekly payroll accurately and on time

n

Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records

n

Manage PAYG withholding, STP, superannuation and payroll tax

n

Ensure payroll reporting and compliance requirements are met

n

Ensure employee payroll records and documentation are maintained appropriately

n

Finance Compliance

n

Prepare and lodge monthly BAS and other relevant reporting obligations

n

Ensure all relevant statutory and financial obligations are met accurately and on time

n

Maintain appropriate records and documentation to support compliance requirements

n

Liaise with external accountants as required

n

About You

n

We are looking for someone who has:

n





Experience in a similar finance, payroll or accounts role

n

Strong skills in reconciliations, accounts payable, payroll and financial reporting

n

Experience with BAS, GST, FBT and payroll compliance

n

Excellent organisational skills and robust attention to detail

n

The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively

n

A proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies

n

Confidence communicating with management

n

Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

n

The ability to take ownership of responsibilities and work across a broad range of finance and payroll functions

n
