Job Description

Reporting to the Site Manager and working closely with the HSEQ Management Team, this role provides operational, administrative, and labouring support to ensure the effective management of workplace health and safety onsite.

Responsibilities:

n

Manage onsite inductions for workers, visitors and plant, and review/monitor safety documentation and compliance through HammerTech

n

Conduct site inspections, observations and audits in line with the IMS/HSEMP, ensuring hazards, incidents and non-conformances are actioned and closed out

n

Support incident management, emergency response, toolbox meetings and general WHS administration with the Site Manager

n

Maintain safety stations, first aid facilities, and ensure effective implementation of the Site Emergency Management Plan

n

Monitor works onsite for compliance with SWMS, management plans and industry requirements

n

Complete labouring and site support tasks including amenities upkeep, access maintenance, basic labouring (cleaning, telehandler/forklift/hoist/traffic), and site establishment duties

Successful Candidate Requirements:

n





Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role on a commercial construction site

n

Competent with HammerTech, handheld power tools and plant/equipment operation

n

Robust understanding of construction WHS expectations, codes, standards and legislation

n

Ability to influence workers and subcontractors to improve safety outcomes while supporting site productivity

n

Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to HSE tasks

n

Ability to work collaboratively, take direction and use initiative to support site operations

n

Education & Qualifications:

n

Minimum 3 relevant building/construction industry tickets (e.g. Telehandler, Traffic Control, Hoist, EWP)

n

Cert IV in WHS

n

Experience on EBA jobs is desirable

n

White Card

n

Valid Australian Driver's Licence

n
