Job Description
Veterinary Technologist- Hope Island Central Vet
n
Hope Island Central Vet | Gold Coast QLD | Opening 30 November 2026
n
Help Shape the Future of Veterinary Practice
n
Most veterinary clinics don't currently employ Veterinary Technologists in dedicated roles.
n
At Apiam Animal Health, we believe Veterinary Technologists bring a unique combination of scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning and technical expertise that can significantly enhance patient care and support veterinary teams. That's why we're excited to introduce a dedicated Veterinary Technologist position as part of the founding team at Hope Island Central Vet.
n
Opening on 30 November 2026, Hope Island Central Vet is a brand-new purpose-built companion animal clinic being established in one of the Gold Coast's fastest growing communities.
n
This is a rare opportunity to help establish a role that remains relatively uncommon within Australian private practice while becoming part of a clinic designed around collaboration, community and high-quality patient care.
n
A Community Clinic Built for Modern Veterinary Care
n
Hope Island Central Vet has been purpose built from the ground up, combining contemporary design, advanced equipment and thoughtfully designed workflows to support excellent veterinary care.
n
We're creating a welcoming, community focused clinic where strong client relationships, teamwork and a positive workplace culture are at the heart of everything we do.
n
We'll open with a close-knit team of veterinarians, nurses, client care professionals and a Veterinary Technologist, all working together to create something special from day one.
n
Advanced Imaging. Local Support. Endless Opportunity.
n
One of the most exciting features of Hope Island Central Vet will be its advanced imaging capability, including an onsite CT machine.
n
This will provide expanded diagnostic and treatment opportunities for patients while creating exciting career development opportunities for our veterinary team.
n
The clinic will work closely alongside Sanctuary Cove Vet and Ormeau Vet, creating a collaborative local network where veterinarians, nurses and support teams can share knowledge, discuss cases and support one another.
n
Together, these clinics will provide an outstanding blend of community focused care, advanced diagnostics and clinical collaboration across the northern Gold Coast.
n
About the Role
n
Working alongside our veterinarians and nursing team, you'll apply advanced scientific knowledge, clinical reasoning and technical skills to support patient care, clinical efficiency and evidence based veterinary practice.

n
- Advanced patient monitoring and anaesthesia support
n
- Diagnostic laboratory procedures
n
- Imaging and diagnostic support
n
- Medical and surgical patient care
n

n
- Clinical protocols and workflow improvement
n

n
- Mentoring and developing technical nursing skills within the team
n
n
This is not simply a senior nursing position.
n
It is an opportunity to help establish one of the first dedicated Veterinary Technologist roles within our companion animal clinic network and contribute to a progressive model of veterinary care that recognises and values advanced technical expertise.
n
About You
n
You will have:
n
n
- A Bachelor of Veterinary Technology or equivalent qualification
n
- Strong clinical and technical skills
n
- Experience in diagnostics, patient monitoring and imaging
n
- A passion for learning and evidence-based practice
n
n
Most importantly, you'll be excited by the opportunity to help build something new.
n
Proudly Part of Apiam Animal Health
n
While Hope Island Central Vet will have its own identity, you'll be supported by the resources, expertise and opportunities that come with being part of Apiam Animal Health.
n
Before opening, you'll participate in a structured induction program and work alongside experienced operational, leadership and clinical teams to help set both you and the clinic up for long term success.
n

n
If you're excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of Veterinary Technologist roles while building a community focused clinic from the ground up, we'd love to hear from you.
