We are Lone Star Rib House & Brews, operated by Trinity Hospitality PTY LTD, seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis at our Marsden Park location, offering a Texan-themed dining experience with a menu featuring ribs, steaks, burgers, and more.

Key responsibilities

n

Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, menus and presentation standards

n

Preparing ingredients, including meat, seafood, vegetables, sauces, stocks and garnishes

n

Operating grills, fryers, stovetops, ovens and other commercial kitchen equipment

n

Monitoring the quality of ingredients and finished dishes

n

Ensuring consistent portion sizes, flavour and presentation

n

Assisting with menu preparation and the development of new dishes when required

n

Managing food preparation and service during busy periods

n

Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and inventory control

n

Minimising food waste and following appropriate food-storage procedures

n

Maintaining a clean,



organised and hygienic kitchen

n

About you

n

A relevant commercial cookery qualification, or at least three years of relevant commercial cooking experience

n

Experience working in a busy commercial restaurant kitchen

n

Sound knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety requirements

n

Solid attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistent quality

n

Good organisational and time-management skills

n

The ability to work effectively as part of a team

n

The ability to work under pressure during busy service periods

n

Availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
