About The Role

We are seeking a talented junior to intermediate level Civil Drafter (AutoCAD 2d) to become a valued member of our busy multidisciplinary engineering office based in Hornsby, NSW.

The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced civil drafter wishing to build on their existing career. It is also suitable for willing and enthusiastic new or recently qualified drafters, engineers, and engineering students wanting to build their experience.

It involves working from our Hornsby office on projects with a wide range of civil engineering works including:

- Property and development drainage assessment.
- Development of site water quality, quantity and drainage solutions.
- Civil engineering design of earthworks, roads, regrading, etc.
- Flood assessments, remediation and management plans.

- Full time Australian work rights (no restricted visa holders).
- Demonstrable high level 2d drafting skills with BricsCAD or AutoCAD.

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide copies of past relevant works and/or showcase their drafting skills at the interview.

- Previous drafting experience with large drawing sets (using xref, layer state, annotation scale, paper space, publish, sheet set, etc.), preferably as a civil drafter in land development projects in Australia.
- Familiar with the general process of land development (DA, CC, etc.) and civil engineering design components (site analysis, earthworks, roads, drainage, etc.).
- Experience with GIS software packages (QGIS, ArcGIS, etc.).
- Experience with Lisp coding for AutoCAD and/or Python scripting for QGIS.

Any of the following experiences and qualities will be considered favourable:

- Previous drafting experience with large drawing sets (using xref, layer state, annotation scale, paper space, publish, sheet set, etc.), preferably as a civil drafter in land development projects in Australia.
- Familiar with the general process of land development (DA, CC, etc.) and civil engineering design components (site analysis, earthworks, roads, drainage, etc.).
