GIVIT is recruiting a full-time permanent Engagement Officer. This role is perfect for someone who is naturally warm, curious, and community minded. Someone who loves building relationships, solving problems, and empowering organisations to better support people experiencing hardship. What you’ll do

Every week will bring something meaningful. You will:

- Build genuine, lasting relationships with councils, charities, recovery groups and community organisations.
- Support community services to use the GIVIT platform to facilitate donated goods and services to individuals and communities experiencing hardship or natural disaster.
- Deliver face-to-face and online training, workshops and support to community-based organisations, building their capacity to use GIVIT’s digital platform.
- Work alongside communities after disaster events to identify needs and coordinate effective recovery support.
- Participate in local recovery meetings and contribute to planning groups.
- Improve processes that support the fast, fair and effective distribution of donated goods and services.
- Promote GIVIT’s programs and work closely with our Marketing team.
- Strengthen networks with governments, recovery agencies, corporate partners and community partner organisations

Other requirements:

- Current driver’s licence and able to travel within SEQ regularly
- National police check (or willingness to obtain at your cost)
- Reliable internet/safe home office setup for hybrid work
