ATB Australia is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support the delivery of works on the Snowy 2.0 Project. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role offers the opportunity to apply your civil / structural engineering expertise within a complex construction environment while contributing to a nationally significant project.

About the Role

As Site Engineer, you will play a critical technical role supporting construction and installation activities, ensuring engineering specifications, safety requirements and project standards are achieved. You will work closely with site and project management, design teams, construction personnel and external stakeholders to provide technical leadership and engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage temporary works across the project.
- Design and verify temporary steel structures, platforms and associated works.
- Review and assess external engineering designs to ensure compliance with Australian safety legislation and engineering standards.
- Conduct structural assessments and technical analysis.
- Prepare work packs and installation documentation.
- Support site installation activities and resolve technical construction challenges.
- Conduct inspections to ensure works are completed in accordance with approved designs and specifications.
- Prepare certification documentation for temporary structures.
- Maintain accurate project and as-built documentation.




- Facilitate document control and transmittals through Aconex.
- Liaise with internal technical teams, project stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and installation processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in structural engineering.
- Demonstrated experience designing for construction or temporary works.
- Strong knowledge of temporary structures and engineering standards.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, CAD software and 3D modelling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Construction White Card.

Highly Regarded

- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
- Registration on the National Engineering Register (NER).
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, energy or construction projects.
- Knowledge of the ABCB Temporary Structure Standard.
