We are currently seeking a skilled Chef or Cook to join our dynamic team at Brunch n Brew Lake Munmorah, located at 275 Pacific Hwy, Lake Munmorah NSW 2259. The ideal candidate will have experience in the culinary industry and possess a passion for delivering delicious and high-quality dishes. This role involves a range of responsibilities focused on food preparation, cooking, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking food
n
- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies
n
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
n
- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
n
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
n
- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
n
- Select and train staff
n
- Freeze and preserve foods
n
n
About you
n
n
- A minimum of one years of culinary experience
n
- A minimum of Cert IV level qualification, diploma preferable
n
- Thorough understanding of health and safety standards in the kitchen, including food handling and sanitation practices
n
- Proficient in culinary techniques and adept in operating kitchen equipment and tools
n
- Meticulous in food preparation and presentation, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality dishes
n
- Capable of interpreting recipes and menu plans accurately and creatively
n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented kitchen environment
n
- Good physical stamina, capable of working in a quick-paced kitchen and standing for long hours
