Clinical Environment

You will provide General Medicine SRMO cover within Nepean Blue Mountains LHD.

- Consultant-led ward rounds – work with guidance from consultants and senior registrars
- Diverse inpatient caseload – support acute and chronic General Medicine presentations
- Ward-based experience – assist with admissions, case reviews, discharges and team handovers
- Collaborative team setting – work closely with nursing, allied health and medical teams
- Training pathway value – ideal for SRMOs looking to advance their internal medicine knowledge

Patient Demographic

You will support a broad General Medicine inpatient mix, including adults, older patients, acute medical admissions, chronic disease presentations,



complex comorbidities and patients requiring review, discharge planning, escalation or ongoing ward-based care.

Key Duties

- Support General Medicine units across rostered shifts
- Assist with admissions, ward rounds and patient reviews
- Contribute to discharge planning and team handovers
- Complete clinical documentation and management plans
- Escalate patient concerns appropriately to registrars and consultants
- Work collaboratively with nursing, allied health and medical teams

Requirements

- Current AHPRA General Registration
- Recent General Medicine or inpatient hospital experience
- NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check
- Australian working rights
- Willingness to complete onboarding and hospital credentialing
- Current CV, references and compliance documents as required
