About the Role:
n We are seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join the Engineering Team and support the development, production and continuous improvement of advanced aerospace systems, hybrid systems and associated mechanical components.
n You will be involved across the product development lifecycle, from requirements definition and mechanical design through to verification, validation, manufacturing and supplier support.
n The role will suit an engineer with robust hands-on mechanical design experience who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working across design, manufacturing and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Develop and release mechanical components, parts and sub-systems in accordance with product development processes, engineering standards, customer requirements and applicable regulations.
n
- Apply structured engineering methodologies including design reviews, GD&T;, tolerance analysis, DFMA, DFMEA, value engineering and risk management.
n
- Translate product and system-level requirements into component specifications, design inputs,



interfaces, acceptance criteria and technical documentation.
n
- Produce and review engineering designs, calculations and technical analyses.
n
- Consider materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, assembly requirements, serviceability, cost and product lifecycle requirements in design decisions.
n
- Plan and support analytical and physical design verification and validation activities.
n
- Define test requirements, review test results, prepare technical reports and resolve design issues.
n
- Support component procurement through technical documentation, supplier engagement and review of inspection and test data.
n
- Conduct root-cause analysis, investigate non-conformances and develop corrective actions.
n
- Work collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain stakeholders.

Qualifications: n
n

n
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
n
- 3+ years' experience across product design, development, component engineering and/or project engineering environments.
n
- Strong mechanical design and development experience involving components, assemblies and sub-systems.
n
- Competent in GD&T;, tolerance analysis and fit assessment.
n




- Sound understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, surface treatments and component selection.
n
- Experience with structured engineering problem-solving methodologies such as 8D or 7-Step Problem Solving.
n
- Experience in design verification and validation, including test planning, test methods and results analysis.
n
- Strong root-cause analysis, non-conformance investigation and corrective-action skills.
n
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to work through complex technical issues in a structured manner.
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
- Experience within aerospace, defence, automotive, advanced manufacturing or other highly regulated engineering environments will be highly regarded.
