About the role:

We're looking for an Assistant Packshed Manager to support the effective and efficient operation of our Table Grape packshed in Merbein, Vic. The role is responsible for helping coordinate day-to-day warehouse and packing shed activities to ensure product is received, handled, stored, packed and dispatched safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Primary responsibilities:

- Coordinate the day-to-day warehouse and pack shed operations, ensuring the smooth flow of grapes, packaging, finished product and materials.
- Assist with receiving, storage, stock movements and dispatch, maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.
- Supervise and coordinate shed workers, including inductions, training and allocation of daily workloads.
- Maintain a strong focus on workplace health & safety, food safety, quality and compliance, including PPE, traffic management and housekeeping.
- Monitor forklifts, conveyors and material-handling equipment, ensuring safe operation and promptly reporting faults or maintenance requirements.
- Work closely with the Warehouse/Shed Manager and key stakeholders to communicate priorities, resolve operational issues and support peak-season requirements.

Skills and experience:

- Experience in a warehouse, logistics, agricultural or packshed setting.




- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Valid, current and unrestricted driver's license & forklift license
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early starts, weekends or extended hours during peak harvest and packing periods.
