Keleah's Early Learning is seeking an experienced and passionate Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our small, supportive team in a full-time Room Leader position.

n

We are a boutique 23-place early learning service in Terrigal. Our approach is relationship-focused, play-based and centred around creating a calm, welcoming setting where children feel safe, secure and confident to learn.

Child safety and child protection are at the heart of our practice. We are committed to creating a strong child-safe culture where the safety, wellbeing and rights of children are paramount.

About the role

n

n
- Lead and support educators within the room
n
- Build warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families
n
- Plan and implement meaningful, play-based learning experiences
n
- Support children's individual learning, development and emotional wellbeing
n
- Contribute to observations, documentation and educational programming
n
- Support the implementation of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
n
- Maintain high standards of supervision, health, safety and wellbeing
n
- Understand and uphold child protection and mandatory reporting responsibilities
n
- Actively support and embed the Child Safe Standards in everyday practice
n
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and uphold the rights of every child
n
- Work collaboratively with the Centre Director, Educational Leader and wider team
n
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
n

About you

n

n
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, or an ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification
n




- Experience working within an early childhood education and care setting
n
- Experience or demonstrated capability in leading and supporting a team
n
- Sound knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality Framework
n
- Strong understanding of the Child Secure Standards, child-safe practices and child protection responsibilities
n
- Current recognised child protection training/certification appropriate to NSW early childhood education and care
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
n
- Willingness to undertake ongoing child safety and child protection training
n
- Willingness to obtain a National Police Check upon request
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A reliable, professional and collaborative approach
