Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager / Estimator to join the Geelong Smash Repairs team.

This is a hands‐on role that will involve overseeing the day‐to‐day workshop operations, managing parts and deliveries, supporting our tradespeople and working closely with the Manager to keep repairs progressing smoothly.

About the Role

n

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

n

Leading and supporting the workshop team to ensure jobs are progressing efficiently and to a high standard.

n

Managing parts ordering, receiving, checking, allocation and delivery to ensure the right parts are available when required.

n

Working closely with the tradespeople to understand what they need to complete repairs

n

Monitoring vehicles throughout the repair process and helping keep jobs moving through the workshop.

n

Assisting with estimating and quoting when required, particularly during busy periods.

n

Working alongside the Manager with estimating and repair planning.

n

Communicating with suppliers, assessors, insurers and other relevant parties when required.

n

Helping maintain a clean, organised and productive workshop environment.

n

Supporting the team with problem‐solving and day‐to‐day decisions to keep repairs on track.

n

Ensuring work is completed efficiently while maintaining our standards for quality and customer service.

The Person We Are Looking For

n

We are looking for someone who has automotive smash repair experience and understands how a busy panel shop operates.

n

You will ideally have:

n

Previous experience in a Workshop Manager, Workshop Foreman, Estimator or senior smash repair role.





n

Experience in using required systems such as iBodyshop, Audanet, and Parts Check

n

Good communication and organisational skills to coordinate and manage sublet repairs, external suppliers and vehicle tows.

n

Strong knowledge of the collision repair process.

n

Good understanding of parts, ordering and supplier management.

n

The ability to communicate well with tradespeople and understand what they need to complete their work.

n

Estimating experience or a willingness to assist with estimating and quoting.

n

Strong organisation and time‐management skills.

n

The ability to work in a fast‐paced environment and manage competing priorities.

n

Good communication skills and a practical, hands‐on approach.

n

A team‐focused attitude and the ability to work alongside management.
