Business Administration Trainees – Certificate III in Business | 2 Positions Available
n
Full-Time | 12-Month Traineeship | Salisbury, Brisbane
n
WetTrade Apprenticeships is currently looking for two motivated Business Administration Trainees to join our team at Salisbury.
n
These are full-time, entry-level positions offered as a Certificate III in Business (BSB30120) traineeship, providing the successful applicants with the opportunity to gain practical workplace experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification.
n
To be eligible, you cannot have completed a Certificate III in Business or a Certificate IV or above.
n
The positions will provide administration and business support across WetTrade Apprenticeships, the National Institute of Construction Skills (NICS) and Master Painters Association Queensland.
n
We are looking for people who are reliable, organised, willing to learn and genuinely interested in developing a career in administration and business.
n
About the roles
n
We have two traineeship positions available, with both providing broad exposure to administration and business operations.
n
One position will have a stronger focus on general administration, participant and program support, records, scheduling and data management.
n
The second position will provide broader exposure to administration, reception and customer service, membership and stakeholder support, events, projects and general business operations.
n
Both trainees will work as part of our administration team and may assist across the three organisations depending on operational requirements.
n
What you will be doing
n
n
- answering telephone calls, taking messages and directing enquiries
n
- greeting visitors and providing qualified customer service
n
- responding to routine email and telephone enquiries
n
- data entry and maintaining accurate electronic records
n
- filing, scrolling and document management
n
- preparing routine correspondence, forms and documents
n
- assisting with apprentice, trainee and student administration
n
- assisting with applications, enrolments and participant records
n
- helping coordinate appointments, meetings, interviews and training activities
n
- assisting with funded program administration
n
- supporting membership administration and enquiries
n
- assisting with events, meetings and industry activities
n
- following up outstanding information and documentation
n
- updating spreadsheets and internal systems
n
- supporting reporting and compliance documentation
n
- assisting with general office administration as required.
n

About you
n
n
- are reliable and punctual
n
- are organised and able to follow instructions
n
- have good communication skills
n
- are comfortable speaking with different people by phone, email and in person
n
- have basic computer skills and are willing to learn new systems
n
- have good attention to detail
n
- understand the importance of confidentiality
n
- are willing to ask questions when they are unsure
n
- can work independently once shown what to do
n
- are also happy to work as part of a team
n
- have a positive attitude toward feedback and learning
n
- are willing to complete routine tasks such as filing, scanning and data entry as well as more varied administration work
n
- are genuinely interested in building a career in administration or business.
n
n
Previous office experience is not essential.
n
The traineeship
n
These positions are offered as formal Certificate III in Business (BSB30120) traineeships.
n
If successful, you will:
n
be employed full-time for approximately 12 months
n
complete the Certificate III in Business as part of your employment
n
undertake workplace training, learning and assessment
n
receive practical experience across a range of administration and business functions.
n
Applicants must be eligible to undertake a traineeship in Queensland and have appropriate Australian working rights.
n
Other requirements
n
Due to the nature of our work with apprentices, trainees, students and funded programs, successful applicants will also need to:
n

- be eligible to apply for a Blue Card / Working with Children Check
n
- successfully complete a Police Check
n
- maintain confidentiality when working with personal and organisational information
n
- be able to reliably travel to our Salisbury workplace.
