About the Role

The Stores and Sterilisation Manager leads the integrated operation and continuous improvement of TRI’s Central Stores and Sterilisation Services. The position is accountable for safe, responsive and customer-focused services across warehousing, goods receipt and dispatch, and inventory control as well as sterilisation and washup services.

This role is offered on a Permanent basis. It is Full-time, 38 hours per week.

Key Selection Criteria

Experience

- 5+ years managing warehouse, stores, logistics, sterilisation, laboratory support or comparable technical service operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience of an operational team including work planning, training, coaching and performance management.
- Experience delivering customer facing services and managing competing priorities in a busy environment.
- Experience with inventory management systems, purchasing or receipting systems, stock control systems and operational reporting.
- Experience in a research, health,



laboratory or other regulated setting
- Experience overseeing sterilisation, washup services and regulated waste services is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

- Sound knowledge of contemporary warehousing, inventory control, goods receipt, dispatch and distribution practices, including barcode, ERP and point-of-sale systems.
- Working knowledge of sterilisation and infection control standards, sterilisation techniques, aseptic practices, autoclave operations and laboratory waste handling requirements.
- Sound understanding of WHS obligations relevant to warehouses and sterilisation environments, including manual handling, forklift and vehicle movements, heat and pressure hazards, chemicals, biological hazards, incident management and regulated goods.
- Strong people leadership, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to set priorities and maintain service continuity.
- Highly developed customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work constructively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong judgement and problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond calmly to service disruptions and situations where established guidance is limited.
- High level of accuracy in records, data entry, stock control and administrative processes.
- Ability to analyse service information, identify improvement opportunities and implement practical change.
- Competence with standard business software and relevant inventory and procurement systems.

Qualifications

- Relevant qualification in warehousing, logistics, supply chain, sterilisation services, business operations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Current forklift licence is required.
- Relevant WHS, dangerous goods, hazardous substances, manual handling or first aid experience or certification is desirable.
